Our dealership received a 2008 GMC Acadia that would not move. Customer heard a noise and the vehicle stopped.

Had to be towed in. Another independent repair shop had already installed a Powertrain Direct Transmission. My trans Tech determined an internal failure most likely the 3-5 waveplate had failed. Drained fluid to find lots of metal in fluid.

Powertrain Direct shipped another unit at no charge. We installed it. The customer paid the labor. Now John Davis has denied reimbursing the customer any labor because they have determined the trans is good.

This vehicle has been operating as designed with no problems after the replacement was installed.

My customer has not received his core credit as of yet. It has been 8 weeks.

now my customer is demanding a refund because Powertrain direct is stating my trans tech doesnt know what he is doing.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $750.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

PowertrainDirect Cons: Run around.
